RAY LUGO's L.E.S. EXPRESS
from the man behind KOKOLO
Record Kicks continues in its tradition of bringing the hottest sounds for today's dance-floors by welcoming Ray Lugo's L.E.S. EXPRESS to our stable of artists.
As leader of Afro powerhouse Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra, Ray Lugo has spent the past years bringing his brand of funky music to discerning ears and stages all around the globe. With new project the L.E.S EXPRESS, Ray deftly broadens his palate and includes a wider range of influences and collaborations, best exemplified by debut 45 "I Dream of Bahia feat. Elani" / "Get On Up feat. Roxie Ray".
"The L.E.S. Express gives me the opportunity to collaborate with many of the artists I have liked for some time, a process that has brought dimensions to my music I never thought of".
Hard at work finalizing a debut album that will feature fresh as well as established talent plus a few surprises, Ray is also preparing something special for the live show as well. "A quality live show must go hand in hand with a quality album..and we will bring no less", he states confidently.
If "I Dream Of Bahia" / "Get On Up" is anything to go by... then we have much to look forward to!
