New band Ray Lugo's L.E.S EXPRESS

Named after his Lower East Side neighborhood in New York City, Ray Lugo, leader of KOKOLO, launches his soulful new project, L.E.S. EXPRESS, with this killer ’45 featuring two of the most promising female vocalists of today’s scene and sure to keep many a discerning DJ happy.

On the A-Side we find Brazilian newcomer Elani, waxing nostalgic about the mythic Bahia while working her sultry vocals through one of the grooviest tracks heard in a long time.

The flipside features none other than the mighty Roxie Ray, vocalist of Aussie sensations DOJO CUTS, and “Get On Up” confirms why she is making waves outside of her homeland, as she effortlessly commands this marvellous deep-funk nugget.
