Since 2003 Record Kicks does its best to release funk, soul & dancefloor jazz. With more than 50 vinyl releases under the belt, RK has won over fans such as Mark Lamarr, Snowboy, Dj Andy Smith, Rob Luis, Craig Charles and many more. To celebrate RK's 6th anniversary, Nick, the Recordkicks label A&R and founder has picked for you some of the best remixes and b-sides released in the last years. The albums sound ranges from contemporary deep funk (Baby Charles, Dojo Cuts, Diplomats of Solid Sound) to mod jazz (Trio Valore, Link Quartet), afrobeat (Kokolo, AIFF), nu soul (UNITY, New Mastersounds feat Corinne Bailey Rae), beats & breaks (Lack of Afro, Diesler, Nostalgia 77) plus a couple of reissues from the 60s like Panama's latin funk kings Soul Fantastic and Floyd Lawson & The Hearts of Stone.
